THE OUTLINE: Audiofly are a DJ/producer duo, Luca Saporito and Anthony Middleton. They met and started working together in the spring of 2002 and immediately started a prolific partnership based on their shared music styles and experiences on the DJ circuit. Their combined talents have created a powerful, experimental and original style of music (a deadly, dirty, jackin, tech meets electronic House) which is very current on the underground club scene.
DJ-ING: Alongside their production schedule Audiofly are regular fixtures on the DJ circuit. During this summer, they were residents for Steve Lawler’s night VIVA at Space, Ibiza. They also hold residencies @ Prinzip, Munich and Fever, Viareggio, Italy (where they feature extensively. On home turf, they play monthly at Players (AKA/The END), and are regular guests at Mulletover, Londons only ‘real’ secret warehouse do… This summer will see the boys featuring all over Europe, US and S. America, with Tours of China and Australia also around the corner.
MUSIC PRODUCTION & LABELS: Their first remix production “Live Love” first released in February 2004, on Fantastic House, was on the playlist of such DJ’s as Smokin Jo, Steve Lawler, DJ Ralf, Victor Calderone, Danny Tenaglia etc...the track has also been featured on several compilations including the “Lights Out 2” & Amnesia Ibiza compilations amongst others... The rest of 2004 saw several more releases which slowly built and developed both the reputation and also production values of Audiofly.
Early 2005 see’s multiple Audiofly releases, signed to some of the hottest labels around...
“Release Yourself” out on the legendary Low Pressings (Single of the Week in 7 Update Magazine and featured on kiss 100 play lists)
“Do You Hear?” (on Nic Fanciulli’s new ‘Deleted Records,’ with remix by Zoo Brazil)
“Mind Twista / I can’t remember” on ‘Fantastic House,’ (featured 3 consecutive weeks on Pete Tong’s Essential Selection)
“Rockin It” on ‘Jackit Records,’ (with remix by Serge Santiago)
Their latest offering, “Circles” featuring talented Jazz vocalist Priscilla coming out on Adrift, looks set to become another underground monster… just in time for Miami WMC.
Also Audiofly have started a new project entitled Audiofly X which covers the deeper and more minimal spectrum of house music. Their first EP called “Stolen Goods” was signed to SAW recordings and features on the Satoshi’s 3D comp. The next one out will be released on Mood music around September and the next one has been promised to Get Phy’s new sub-label Kindisch… to be announced later this year.
In terms of remixes, Audiofly are becoming very after producers, and last year saw them remixing several underground anthems.
“Mad as Hell” by Vandal on Meat Katie’s Lot49 records. (Played several times on Radio 1, Annie Nightingale, Trophy Twins. One of the most played records of the month on Proton Radio and featured on MOS Judgement Euphoria comp)
Different Gear’s summer single “Worry” on Lazy Eye records (featured on Pete Tongs Essential selection and a DC10 Anthem this summer)
Paul Harris’ single “Guitar 1”, on Saved records”, and most excitingly, the last Deep Dish single, Sacramento. Audiofly are also remixing the new Yoshimoto single, due out later this spring.
RECENT AND FUTURE PROJECTS: Current Projects include:
Sleeper Thief – A collab with Dj Miss Jools which is getting aclaim from DJ’s such as Dominic Eulberg, Ali Schwarz (Tiefschwarz), Jamie Jones, Funk D’Void, Damian Lazarus and Agoria, to name a few…..The first EP Freefall (64 records) was featured in IDJ and was the Update magazines essential Techno tune (Feb2006).
Rekleiner – Is Audiofly’s 3 rd moniker. Working alongside Mulletover’s Stuart Geddes, they have developed a very meldoic electronic ,yet driving House experience, instantly signed to Moodmusic, championed by Ewan Pearson and featured on Satoshi Tomie’s new Rennaisance 3D compilation.
Opus Ink is a new collaboration with Satoshi Tomie which looks set to make some serious waves. Their first outing, The Darkroomboot Ep is a monstrous number, which unites elements of both their unique styles with a Carl Craig’esq affair…in demand by a ‘lot’ of dj’s right now….but impossible to get hold of…to be released on SAW later this year.
A collaboration with Paul Harris “ Break / Play” which was featured on the Essential Selection.
A collab with James Talk, “Cool Wet Grass” featured on the Essential Selection and destined to be signed to Get Physical.(Also featured on the Essential Selection.)
