I’ve started dj-ing 5 years ago, in Brasov, the town I was born. Back then I was 18 years old, and after one year of activity in the high-school radio, where I was playing a little bit of everything that wasn’t played on radio at that time, like Prodigy, Tall Paul, Mr Oizo, Kai Tracid etc., I’ve started to think very seriously about being a dj, and a few months later I started my first residency at club Avantgard. At first I was playing progressive house, funky, and a little bit of breaks, mainly the first underground genres that were promoted in Romania at that time. After one year of residency came the second club, Tito’s (now Privilege), where everything took another level. New technology, new sound, bigger events and most important a lot of new people!

With almost 2 years of dj experience under my belt, I’ve moved in Cluj-Napoca to study. Here followed many short residencies, and a few events. The real start of my dj carrier, was at the end of 2004, when I started to have gigs in clubs around Romania, and slowly I’ve started to have more and more exposure, a very hard thing to accomplish in Romania! My first gig outside the two cities, was in Bacau, at club Zebra, on 25th of December 2004 and was amazing! After that, other gigs followed around Romania, like Studio Martin (Bucharest), Gossip (Bucharest), WTP (Bucharest), Medieval (Craiova), Athos (Baia Mare), XS (Iasi), Privilege (Brasov), Imperium (Iasi), Chill Out (Sibiu), Oscar (Cluj), 7seven (Cluj) etc.

I also was invited in 2005 at the Transilvanian Summit (Cluj) and in July 2005 I had a gig at club Canape – (Trossingen) in Stuttgart, Germany. In August, I’ve participated to a DJ contest, organized by The Mission, at Ultima Plaja (Mamaia), which I won. A very important part of the price, was the possibility to mix in worm-up for the “5 years of The Mission” event, with Timo Maas.

The genres that you can find in my gigs are minimal techno, deep techouse and a little bit of electro with a lot of influences. I am a big technology fan as much as I am a big vinyl fan, and that’s why I try to combine both of them. I use a lot of loops and sometimes strange sounds in my gigs, a lot of them produced by me, because I always try to experiment something new. In present I use vinyls, Final Scratch 2 and Ableton Live 5 in my mixes, because this combination allows me to accomplish what I’ve just said above.

In the future I want to finish some projects that I’ve started and never finished, which I hope will result in my first production!
