EC RecordsDutch label EC Records was founded by DJ / Producer Michel de Hey in 1993. His main reason to in starting the label, was to show the musical world that there was more to the city of Rotterdam, than the then-present musical direction. Since then the label has developed into one of the leading techhouse/techno labels of today harbouring artists such as Secret Cinema, Grooveyard, Coming Soon, Literon and Michel himself.
With classic material in the form of Grooveyard’s 'Watch me now' and Secret Cinema’s 'Timeless Altitude' and floor fillers such as ‘White men can’t funk’, and ‘Ozonic’, EC Records has earnt great respect throughout the dance music and club scene. Over the years, most respected international DJ’s have played EC material from Sven Väth to Carl Cox and from Mr C to Richie Hawtin. Co-operation with distribution company Neuton is seen as a new chapter for the Rotterdam based label securing continuous quality in the coming years.
