SAW Recordings

In 2001, Satoshi Tomiie launched his own label "SAW.RECORDINGS". When asked what the label name means Tomiie stated, "SAW is one of the names of a sound wave (Sine, Square, Triangle and so on). These are used by various kinds of electronic music producers, regardless of the style to make music”. The vision of the partners Hector Romero (Managing Director) and Satoshi Tomiie was to create a platform that they could use to showcase ideas and creative styles that are more experimental. The two have created SAW as a place that takes chances, on new sounds, producers and artists. The first single release "Paranoize" by Bipath caused major excitement from DJ's worldwide. Follow up singles, Madam “Penetration” and Tomiie’s own “Virus” gave SAW world recognition. Since the inception they have introduced the likes of Gabriel and Dresden, Echomen, Tendroids, Lexicon Ave, and many others to the scene. The have just released Swiss Producer/ Musician Chab’s first artist album, and will be releasing 2 albums by Satoshi Tomiie later this year. SAW.RECORDINGS is an example of the changes in the dance music scene, thus shifting what House music is. House music never stops evolving and expanding its borders and Satoshi Tomiie and Hector Romero are in the forefront of this movement.
