House Music Awards 2005 Nominees announced

House Music Awards 2005 nominations are now closed and the voting will start in a few days. We have the great pleasure to announce that BeatFactor has been nominated for the “Best Web Resource” category! Thanks to all who supported us and don’t forget to cast your vote again as soon as the voting system has been launched. The event will be held on Thursday 17th November at the Hammersmith Palais, London. The Hammersmith Palais is not just a venue – it’s a heritage. And it has been a creative epicentre for entertainment since its establishment in 1918. Originally christened the Palais de Danse to introduce Jazz to Europe, the Palais changed its name in the 70’s and became a hotbed for Punk Rock, Ska and Reggae. The Clash named one of their most famous songs after the venue: “(White Man) in the Hammersmith Palais”.

The 80's and 90's saw all the biggest British bands headline with unforgettable appearances from the likes of the Sex Pistols, The Police, U2, Primal Scream, Oasis & Ian Brown. Now heading back to its ‘Danse’ roots, and with a brand-spanking new Funktion 1 Sound System, the Palais hosts the House Music Awards 2005. Dance all the way, baby!
