The Italian techno master, Mauro Picotto launched his new concept 'Meganite' in New York back in March. He will take the concept around the world, playing alongside some of his favourite DJs. His first two Meganite gigs featured Christian Smith at Arc in NYC, and DJ Remy at the terrace of Club Space in Miami. on May 24th, Mauro will return to Arc to play alongside Bryan Zentz and Gabry Fasano.
Meganite also took place at Ministry of Sound in London over the Easter Weekend with Agoria and Phil Kieran. Mauro’s next Meganite gig is at Kremlin’s ‘Two Days of Kaos’ event in Amsterdam when he will play alongside Kevin Saunderson. In May, Mauro will take his concept at the Redbox in Dublin, The Arches in Glasgow and to countries as far as Switzerland, Germany, and Canada.
For his event in Glasgow he has invited Filterheadz (Belgium) to do an exclusive Final Scratch set and to celebrate the launch of their new Final Scratch mixed album. On the production side, watch out for Mauro Picotto & Riccardo Ferri’s new track on Primate, due out July 21st. (28/04/03)
