DJ Mag Top 100 2003 Results: Tiesto No 1 again

The Dutch wizard has done it again and for the 2nd year in a row proving once more that is the Lord of the trance and the king of the dancefloor. With an incredible 61,529 votes, with 50% more then last year, the DJ chart had over 120 countries voting, showing that Trance is on top, being a global experience. For DJ Tiesto this year has been a frenzied one, starting with another prominent award, winning the prize for Best International DJ in the American Dancestar award, held in Miami at the WMC. Also, recently this week he won the Dutch DJ Award, being the most popular DJ on his home land.
There are 19 new entries, six re-entries and 2 non-movers. With Paul Van Dyk and Armin Van Buuren taking over into the Top 3, leaving behind Sasha and Digweed and also with Ferry Corsten rising three places to No.6, there is now doubt that Trance music is more popular than ever, controling the dance floors all over the World!
The progressive sounds remains persitent having in the Top 10 pioneers like Sasha, Digweed and the Deep Dish guys, also Danny Howells, Sander Kleinenberg, Steve Lawler, Hernan Cattaneo hold their places on the higher areas of the chart. Another significant rise was for the young James Zabiela, who a remarkable No.11 position.
