The fresh UK based record label TCP Recordings is on its feet with the fifth release, coming from a duo of producers consisting in Thomas Christopher and Steve Payne. After their Introvex EP, this follow-up shall be in public’s attention. The package has two original productions and one remix from the Nottingham based duo Tolfrey & Sylvester. The A side has Ophine, the original mix delivering a full crazy techno with massive electro bass lines. A few strings are building up a melody, in order to “tame” the massive rhythm.
The other track from this side is Tolfrey & Sylvester’s Leftroom Remix to the track Ophine. This version is milder than the original mix and makes an excellent tech-house shine. Matt Tolfrey and Craig Sylvester made a pretty good job with this remix, producing a well built track, with a great rhythm and good atmospheric riffs.
Lexa is on the flip side, a featuring with Sophie Domonique. What can there be said? 100% techno! Alongside with the energetic rhythm and the obsessive kick pattern, Sophie’s vocal introduces the listener into the hypnotic area of music. A lot of energy, rhythm and beats, this track really kicks everything!
This is nothing more than another proof that techno music glory these days in the best exposure ever. Many labels and producers have adopted this strategy, and I haven’t heard anybody to complain... back to this release, keep a closer eye on Gone-Long-Gone. Tracklist:
