The Australian label EQ Grey strikes again with a double track release from some good up and coming producers, one of them being Andy Page, the tech-house and electro talented producer and the other Danny Bonnici. EQ has conserved almost the same sound during years and didn’t affected it with other influences or artists whom have different approaches of electronic music. You’ll be the ones to decide if this is a good thing or not for the label. Meanwhile the new EQ Grey release is a powerful two track package dedicated totally to breaks and tech-electro lovers. Knowotimean is a tech-house with massive influences of electro house. It works great into a late night session, lightening the atmosphere and making people dance. The Andy Page style of creating the rhythm patterns can be detected even from the beginning, and continuing to build up a jazzy tune, he keeps the bold kick but transports some new snares which don’t work excellent on the track. The melody is simple, not astonishing; as I said, a good track for late night sessions.
The breaks edit from Vermouth starts with break beat and maintains the same rhythm from the beginning till the end. The heavy electro bass line is combined with some rough riffs, creating a hard tune, massive for breaks addicted.
As it can be observed, the breaks didn’t die at all! Is awake and alive, just as other musical influences and styles are. It’s good that EQ still delivers the same music, maintaining its fans and keeping constant vibe and fresh sound with each new release.
